Enhancing security capabilities and digital operations
The conference “Technology Safety and Sustainable Development in the Digital Era” addressed the urgent needs of the local business community amid rapid digital transformation. Its core objectives included raising awareness of technology safety and data governance while equipping SMEs with essential skills to deploy technology securely and efficiently.
Attendees received guidance on using digital signatures, cloud services, and fundamental data protection measures. These topics are particularly critical for SMEs, which often lack resources to invest in advanced security systems. The program also introduced digital transformation solutions tailored to SME scale, emphasizing ease of deployment and on-site technical support.

VNETWORK highlights Email & Website vulnerabilities - Key enterprise entry points prone to exploitation
A highlight of the event was the presentation by Ms. Tran Hao Anh, COO of VNETWORK, on “Enterprise Email and Website Security Vulnerabilities.” Drawing from real-world insights, she underscored that email and websites are daily dependencies for every business yet remain the most vulnerable channels without specialized protection layers.
According to the EG-Platform Report 2024, 43% of phishing emails are now AI-generated, making them more convincing and personalized. Additionally, 62% of malicious emails originate from familiar attachments such as PDFs, macros, or fake invoices. Globally, 94% of organizations have experienced at least one email-related incident, with average business email compromise (BEC) losses reaching $4.89 million per case.
In the web and application domain, the DDoS Attack Report for the first half of 2025 reveals a increasingly intricate cyber threat landscape. Worldwide, 84% of organizations encountered incidents involving APIs or web applications, facing an average of 240,000 attacks daily. DDoS remains the most prevalent and disruptive form. In Vietnam alone, the first half of 2025 recorded 256,000 DDoS attacks, with peak traffic hitting 1.2 Tbps, a volume sufficient to paralyze many enterprise systems without dedicated defense solutions.
In response, VNETWORK recommends shifting from passive defense to proactive AI-driven protection. This includes deploying email security layers capable of early phishing detection and malicious link or attachment identification, alongside strengthened access management through multi-factor authentication (MFA) and role-based permissions. Real-time behavior and data monitoring further enables threat isolation before propagation. This approach minimizes data loss risks, reduces operational disruptions, and prevents financial leakage.

Comprehensive session series on cybersecurity and data safety
Beyond VNETWORK’s contribution, the conference featured two additional key sessions, completing a holistic view of cybersecurity and secure digital transformation for enterprises.
Session 1, delivered by Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Le Hoang Viet Lam from the People’s Security Academy, was titled “Current Cyber Attack Risks to Vietnamese Enterprises.” The speaker clarified prevalent attack vectors such as ransomware, phishing, and supply chain compromises, highlighting the significant rise of international hacker groups in 2025. He stressed the vital role of collaboration between enterprises and state authorities in countering increasingly sophisticated threats.
Session 3, presented by a MobiFone representative, focused on “Data Safety: The Foundation of Enterprise Operations in the Digital Age.” This segment positioned data as a core enterprise asset and introduced cloud solutions, encryption, and automated backups to ensure confidentiality and recovery capabilities.

Toward a secure and sustainable digital environment
The conference affirmed the importance of tripartite collaboration among local authorities, technology companies, and the SME community in fostering a safe and sustainable digital ecosystem. Experts agreed that technology safety extends beyond technical challenges and must be integrated as a pillar of operational and governance strategies.
During the open discussion, many attendees shared real incidents ranging from minor attacks to data loss events, along with recovery strategies supported by peer insights. The message “Together Secure Online” serves not merely as a slogan but encourages SMEs to engage in ongoing training programs and share intelligence on emerging threats.

Conclusion
The training conference “Technology Safety and Sustainable Development in the Digital Era” demonstrated a clear commitment from all parties to bolster security capabilities and digital awareness within the local business community. VNETWORK’s presentation enabled SMEs to better understand common email and website vulnerabilities, AI-driven attack threats, and proactive AI-based defense strategies.
As Vietnam accelerates its digital transformation, proactively strengthening defenses, investing in secure technology systems, and training personnel with robust digital literacy will be pivotal for enterprises to maintain stable operations and achieve sustainable growth in the digital environment. This is not only an imperative of the era but also a strategic step for Vietnamese enterprises to confidently establish their position in the digital age.
