An Event Bringing Together Da Nang's Technology Businesses
SAISP 2026, the Da Nang Semiconductor, AI and Innovation Policy Day, took place at Software Park No. 2 in Da Nang. The program brought together a large number of businesses, startups, regulatory agencies, and organizations across the innovation ecosystem for a full day of activities, as Da Nang steadily positions itself as one of the Central region's key hubs for semiconductor and AI development.
The core focus of the event centered on the nine new resolutions recently issued by the Da Nang People's Committee to support innovative startups, the semiconductor industry, and AI development. This marks an important step for the city in creating momentum for technology businesses to grow, spanning non-refundable funding, tax exemptions and reductions, digital infrastructure incentives, and specialized workforce training for the semiconductor and AI sectors.

Consolidating all the key policies into a single program helped businesses save considerable time that would otherwise go into researching and cross-referencing scattered legal documents. Rather than having to gather information through multiple separate channels, businesses could access official information directly, clearly explained by regulatory agencies and industry experts right at the event.
Shortening the Distance from Policy to Application
What set SAISP 2026 apart was the way the program was designed. Rather than stopping at one-way policy dissemination, it was structured as a hands-on experience. In-depth discussion sessions, detailed briefings on each group of resolutions, and one-on-one consultation areas helped businesses move from correctly understanding the policies to identifying opportunities and preparing their benefit applications on the spot.
For many startups and small businesses, this was a rare opportunity to fully resolve common concerns about accessing support policies, from determining eligibility to understanding the exact procedures and paperwork required. In practice, the gap between a policy being issued and an application being successfully approved often comes down to small details such as missing supporting documents, incorrect forms, or unclear eligibility conditions, issues that a direct consultation session can resolve far faster than researching through written documents alone.
Combining policy dissemination with application consultation in the same program also helped reduce cases where businesses were aware of a policy but missed the submission deadline or submitted incomplete information, a fairly common situation when a new policy is issued without a clear channel for implementation guidance.
VNETWORK's Perspective: Information Security as a Foundation, Not a Barrier
As part of SAISP 2026, Ms. Phan Thi My Hau, Co-founder and CEO of VNETWORK, presented a session titled "Information Security, the Foundation for Breakthrough Innovation," covering the opportunities created by the new policies as well as the challenges technology businesses face on their digital transformation and growth journey.
The core message of the presentation was that information security needs to be treated as an operational foundation from the very beginning, not a barrier slowing down growth. As semiconductor and AI businesses take advantage of a wave of incentive policies to accelerate, the risks of cyberattacks, shortages of dedicated security personnel, and pressure to comply with legal regulations are rising in parallel. Information security compliance, therefore, is not simply a legal obligation but also a condition for businesses to operate lawfully, protect user data, and qualify to participate in the city's digital and public investment projects.

The greatest value the presentation offered attending businesses was a practical perspective, helping them balance the pace of growth with their capacity to protect their systems, rather than focusing on only one of the two.
From this perspective, VNETWORK pursues its mission of democratizing security, with the belief that every Vietnamese business has the right to be protected online, regardless of size or financial capacity. Startups and newly established small businesses should not have to choose between investing in growth and investing in system security. WAF Free embodies this mission, a free web application firewall (WAF) solution developed by VNETWORK that allows any business, even without a security budget, to proactively protect its systems from the very first day of operation.
VNETWORK Standing Alongside Da Nang's Business Community
By taking part in SAISP 2026 as a sponsor, VNETWORK hoped to help bring Da Nang's practical support policies closer to the technology business community, while also sharing hands-on experience in information security, a factor that becomes increasingly essential as businesses scale their operations and expand into international markets.
This involvement also reflects VNETWORK's direction of connecting with innovation ecosystems across multiple localities, going beyond the role of providing technology solutions to also contribute to raising awareness and building information security compliance capacity within the business community, particularly among newly established technology companies that still have limited dedicated security resources.
VNETWORK would like to extend its sincere thanks to the organizing committee and coordinating units for creating a high quality, professional program. We also thank the business and startup community for taking the time to attend, engage, and connect with VNETWORK on this day.

Conclusion
SAISP 2026 concluded with a range of practical takeaways for Da Nang's technology business community, from gaining a clear understanding of support policies to a clear direction for building a solid operational foundation from the earliest stages. As Vietnam's semiconductor and AI industries accelerate their growth, combining the effective use of support policies with proactively building information security capacity will be a decisive factor in businesses' long-term sustainable development.
The journey of building a strong information security foundation for businesses is still ongoing, and VNETWORK will continue to stand alongside the technology business community throughout that journey.
